Leagues and Levels

Following the proposed roadmap presented at the Dec 2021 AGM, SPBASA's Executive Committee approved two approaches for grouping solo competitions into leveled playing fields:

• Levels: skill-based grouping - Novice, Intermediate and Advanced

• Leagues: age-based grouping - Youth, Adult and Senior

The above groupings allow for relatively large competitions to be broken down into smaller and more even-skilled groups of competitors.

The Levels additionally offer a path for competitors to progress through their skill growth; and the Leagues are also intended to attract & retain players.

This approval also included a best practice for Event Organizers that suggests a design process for such events within a time-constrained schedule.
