Michael Flight

St. Andrew's Society of the River Plate Pipe Band (Buenos Aires, Argentina): started as a tenor drummer in 1987, transitioned to pipes in 1988, appointed Pipe Sergeant in 1996, elected Pipe Major in 2000, and again in 2005.

Bagpipe instructor since 1995, author of the SASRP Pipe Band Highland Bagpipe Tutor (1997, revised in 2002), the SASRP Pipe Band Piper’s Handbook (1998) and BagpipeBasics.com (2016).

Founding Member of SPBASA (2004), host of the 2nd South American Pipe Band Gathering (G2), and 1st President (since 2015)

North Texas Caledonian Pipes and Drums (Dallas/Fort Worth): piper since 2008, Pipe Major of the Grade 5 band (2009 to 2017)
